How do I cancel the project or receive a refund for the money I have deposited in Escrow?
If you are not happy with the services of a consultant or freelancer, you need to contact your Relationships Manager (RM) directly, and discuss this with them. Your Relationships Manager will discuss your options and they will try to resolve conflicts or look for another qualified talent for you.
If after the discussion with your RM, you still decide that you wish to terminate the project and request a refund, your RM may then advise you to raise a Dispute and then request a refund through our Dispute Resolution section*. Please ensure that you have fully read and understood our Refund Policy prior to requesting a refund.
* Please note, if you wish to cancel a project, you MUST first contact the candidate through the Workstream MESSAGES feature and explain, with reasons, your intentions for cancelling the project, and asking the candidate to stop working on the project IMMEDIATELY. Failure to inform the candidate will result in the continuation of their work, and the subsequent payment request for any additional work that they have completed.
You MUST also ensure that you do not have ANY funds remaining in the project Escrow prior to cancelling the project.
To cancel your project, you can go to your Posted Jobs page through your main user menu and click on the green-coloured Active drop-down button next to the project that you wish to cancel. Click on the Close option to cancel and archive the project indefinitely. For more details, please click here
