Are you an experienced Software Engineer expert in LabView looking for an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing software for world-class, cutting-edge products?

The position of LabVIEW Software Engineer is part of a cross-functional engineering team in a semiconductor company based in Oxfordshire, UK.  You will be part of a tight knit software group working on real-time machine control, automation, algorithm implementation and delivering key functionality for the RPM systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop LabVIEW software to run the National Instruments Real Time computer to deliver required functionality
  • Produce high quality design documentation to support the code being developed
  • Work closely with the SQA team to deliver software with a customer focus
  • Collaborate effectively as part of an integrated software team whilst also being able to work independently
  • Work across functions (Systems Engineering, Applications, R&D, Electronics) to help identify issues and guide the optimal technology choices, architectures, and implementation

Skills/Qualifications:

Essential

  • Software experience using LabVIEW
  • Software experience using C# or python
  • Experience writing code that interacts with hardware systems
  • Experience in writing LabVIEW code in an industrial area
  • Experience using source control e.g. Git
  • Understanding of metrology

Desirable

  • LabVIEW Certification (CLAD/CLD)
  • Experience working within a team of developers
  • Experience working with NI Real Time and FPGA
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming

Education:

  • Degree educated in a relevant STEM subject or relevant industrial experience
