Accomplishments
Business Rescue of a fluid characterization services unit located in Libya.
As a technical leader, I had the challenge of selecting, forming and developing a new local work force; this was caused by unfair competition practices in times of great expansion and business opportunities in the country. In a period of 16 months, I managed to maintain the leading position in the market, maintain historical revenues, an impeccable record of customer satisfaction and zero HSE incidents. A successful expansion plan was achieved through the creation of an operational workshop and PVT laboratory located in a new operational base located on the outskirts of Tripoli (Tajoura Base).

Creation, development and management of the Well Testing product engineering department located in the UK.
As responsible for the technical performance of the portfolio of products and services of the Schlumberger fluid characterization line, I was in charge of the selection, training and continuous development of human resources. I formed a multidisciplinary team of engineers to provide technical support for all products manufactured in Scotland and for all services provided in different business units around the world (15 locations). Through the implementation of projects for the rationalization of assets, I achieved an annual reduction of 10% in manufacturing costs, and reduced the response time to customer requests by 50% through RFQs and ECRs. I reduced the response time by 90% to supplier requests through IFR processes. I implemented a new product life cycle management system (PLMS) in new and ongoing projects. I simplified the process for fault analysis, which reduced the response time by 90%.

Creation, development and management of a remote Well Testing engineering support department from Pune, India.
As the only responsible for the project, I was in charge of the selection, training and continuous development of human resources, as well as the operation, performance and continuous improvement of support operations. As a result, I created six multidisciplinary teams (42 Engineers) of technical support in a span of 2 years to provide engineering services remotely from India to tool manufacturing centers for the Schlumberger Well-Testing services segment located in Houston, Paris, Aberdeen and Singapore. I implemented training programs for each of the six support units, as well as a quality steering committee (QSC). I achieved the implementation of synergies between technical support units, which increased the use of resources by 90% and increased service efficiency by 85%. I expanded the portfolio of services to other divisions of the company, such as the supply chain and technical communications. This engineering support department still functions in Pune.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Diego as a fellow Project Manager at Schlumberger Technology Services India (STS-I) from January 2014 to February 2016. Newly placed in a managerial role, I had a lot to learn and Diego was always eager to help. He was always happy to answer a question or give tips and best practices. Diego's calm and collected way of managing his team and his work, through active listening and true understanding; served as a role model to me. He is methodical, detail oriented and handles pressure extremely well. He executed complex projects with his highly motivated team and directed and completed strategic initiatives for the whole center while always keeping people first. Seeing his management style in action has greatly benefited my growth. And excellent Mechanical Engineer as well, he would always step in to coach and teach new and even experienced engineers with a proactive, supportive and approachable attitude. I thank him for his complete transparency and having created such a rich learning environment, both for those he managed and those working alongside.
